In 2007, Team Top Gear competed in the Britcar 24 Hours Of Silverstone in an old BMW 330D. The Top Gear Technology Centre prepared the car for the race, and it was driven by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, and The Stig (Ben Collins) to a respectable finish, having completed the 24 hour race 200 laps down.
